Company holds media preview at Outdoor Retailer tradeshow

Gear up for group camping getaways, lightweight summit trips with friends or yoga retreats with REI’s spring 2013 outdoor collections. This week, the company is giving a sneak-peek during the Outdoor Retailer tradeshow, the largest show in the country for the outdoor industry.  The collection, available at REI and on REI.com next spring, offers something for most everyone.

Premiere backpacking line
Lighten your load and get to the summit faster with REI’s Technical Trail collection of gear. REI adds new, lightweight Flash series packs, sleeping bags and sleeping pads to the collection. Highlights include:

  • A two-pound Flash 45-liter pack ideal for lightweight or day backpacking with a hybrid perimeter frame and floating lid.
  • Feather light Flash sleeping bags feature warmth, compressibility, resilience and water resistance thanks to waterproof/breathable rip stop nylon, 800-fill-power down on the top and Primaloft Sport insulation on the bottom.

Group camping
