The REI co-op community is saddened by the news of Nick’s passing and sends our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. Nick was a great leader whose passion for the outdoors inspired many people to pursue their dreams and enjoy life outside. He served on the board of directors on two separate occasions, where he helped transform the board into a more professional body and make a lasting impact on the co-op. Nick was a fun and focused person who introduced many new people to the outdoors—often through his love of climbing. He meant a lot to REI and we are grateful for his contributions to the co-op and greater outdoor community.
