REI Co-op applauds historic bipartisan vote for public lands

REI, the nation’s largest consumer co-opapplauds today’s resounding 363-62 vote in the House of Representatives for passage of the Natural Resources Management Act. Following the Senate’s 92-8 vote Feb. 12, 455 Republicans and Democrats across both chambers have now emphatically restated the nation’s shared love for its public lands and shown that people of all political persuasions can be #UnitedOutside.

Outdoor co-op REI is opening a new store in Birmingham, Alabama in October 2019, bringing a wide assortment of quality gear, experiences and expertise to the state’s largest city. The new 20,000-square-foot store will be located at The Summit, just 20 minutes from Oak Mountain State Park and less than an hour from the Talladega and Bankhead National Forests.
